I wasn't prepared to see my brother die in the ER and be put on life support until the rest of my family arrived, especially since the paramedics told me they doubted he even had a concussion. The moment I heard the doctor say "fatal" it was like walking in a state of shock and trauma for weeks. To say that one funeral home is better than another isn't the kind of review Kevin and Shannon would want, and that's exactly what sets them apart. They helped my family and me with every detail of a horrendous situation resulting in a very touching and dignified tribute to my younger brother who left us at just 40 years old. They could have nickel and dime'd us, but they did not. They could have cut corners, and we were in such shock we wouldn't know, but they did not. They could have let my young nephew sign an insurance re-assignment that would ultimately have blown up in our faces due to the long wait for an official death certificate, just so they would get their money right away, but they did not. They even assisted us many months later with finally obtaining the death certificate, and they didn't have to. In a world where people are afraid to say their faith in Jesus is what makes them excel in servanthood with excellence, thank God we in Alabama can still proudly say Jesus is what makes the difference. The Marsh family came along side my family and were the hands and feet of Christ in a crisis. Even if you do not believe in Jesus, you should give these people your business so you can finally see the kindness, honesty, and compassion Jesus wants to give you during your toughest trial. That is something money cannot buy.
I highly recommend this funeral home. They were excellent when my father passed away. The bagpiper at the grave side was a really nice touch.
